Végre megkoronázhatom a napomat ezekkel a flodnikkal.

Igazi zamatos flódnit ettünk a párommal. A hely nagyon egyszerű és régies, de a sütemény és a kávé kárpótol. ☺

We came here to try the famous Traditional Hungarian Jewish cake.
This is a small place near the synagogue with great value. Good for a quick coffee break while exploring the city.
The place looked a bit dated and in need of some tlc.
Rachel’s flodni is a must try while in Budapest, never had anything like that before. Worth visiting!

It is a bit tucked away but definitely worth walking there if you want to try ones of the best Cakes Budapest has to offer. Surely, the Flodni is the must try, but I can assure you everything else is just as great too. Especially the Chocolate and Cinnamon cake.
There are not many seating tables so you might have to take it away if there’s a couple people inside already.

Little tucked in place serving BEST CAKE in town! Rachel’s FLODNI - I would trade it for all the other cakes I tried in Budapest!

Just eat it! It’s worth walking around for this amazoning piece of Jewish dessert! Good coffee too! Nice service !

Will I eat it again, probably not as I found it very sweet with too much going on. This is my personal taste but there was nothing wrong with the cake and I’m glad I tried it. It was fresh, well constructed and a generous serving. The service was friendly and prompt.

Best flódni in Budapest. So fresh. Each layer pops with flavor. We got the flódni at least 4 times, and each time it was just as good. So glad I bought it directly at the cafe. I had tried it in November at a Budapest Christmas market, and it was not nearly as good.

Our tour guide recommended this and as soon as the tour was over, we made our way back here. Luckily we made it just before it closed! We bought a slice of flodni to take away and it was amazing! So different but delicious. The contrast of flavours is really well balanced and the plum jam made it.

Try Rachel Raj’s award winning Flodni- a Jewish-Hungarian pastry. Layers of apples, walnuts, poppy seeds and plum jam come together in this delicious treat.
In 2012, a world record Flodni was served in 1600 portions on a 22 meter table.
Thanks to Andor of Free Budapest Walking Tours who pointed our this gem during our Jewish District Walk.

I live 1 minute away from this cafe, but I just got to try their famous flodni as it was recommended by the guide of the Jewish district walking tour. The dessert is delightful, coffee is really nice and the girl who served was so wonderful (I think they don't have waiters).
Definitely worth a try!

Fantastic little independent cafe/coffee house in the heart of the Jewish Quarter of Budapest that has made its reputation based on its fantastic Flodi Cake.
My wife is Ukrainian and I have traveled right across Eastern Europe and love trying out small local dishes like this and was really good.
Flodi is a traditional Hungarian Jewish Cake which I can only describe as Apple Strudel meets Kutcha (a Ukrainian porridge like dish with honey, poppy seeds and walnuts) as it’s a fantastic layer cake.
Ordered along with a coffee and was so good that I visited twice during my stay in Budapest.

Small kosher coffee and cake shop. Downstairs and upstairs seating. Try the apple cake and their signature cake:flodi ,which has all the good stuff I like: apples, poppyseed, walnuts and plum jam in delicious layers.

tried their traditional hungarian jewish cake and it was delightful, the place is super homely and the person on staff when we were there was incredibly kind and helpful

I tried a traditional Jewish cake and I like it a lot! The bar is very small but it makes you feel like you were in the eighteenth century! The owner is very kind.

We entered here because we heard about this place and his Flodni. The cashier was really nice and helpful; sweets are delicious!!
