Ajánlom mindenkinek. Itt mindenki nagyon kedves és az ételek minősége is hibátlan. A salátákba mindig első osztályú feta sajtot raknak.

A pénztáros személyzet a legkedvesebb a világon, akikkel valaha találkoztam.

Student discount for CEU. Good deal with chicken risotto, stuffed cabbage, and pork stew. The desserts look really good.

Great location, tasty food, self-service (perfect for a quick lunch), friendly english-speaking staff. It can be pricey though.
Good for a quick lunch although some staff may sometimes be oversaulted. P

Great food, fast service and friendly staff. Can sit in or takeaway. Great buffet layout. Not many choices for vegetarians but the meat options are always good!

Nice choice of different soups, meats, salads, etc
Good for families with childrens and it's close to tourism attractions.

I came bv for lunch - stumbled on to it and was pleasantly impressed. A wide variety of food, including fish and chicken, and salads and desserts were there to be self served. Efficient check out clerks weighed your food and accepted credit cards. Beer and other non-alcoholic beverages were available. Lots of seating places, often on high chairs. Some offered good views of the river and Buda. The place was clean, the food was tasty.

This self-serve restaurant (Cafeteria style) offer us a nice range of meats, soups, potatoes, vegetables and combination dishes along with a salad bar and dessert. You paid by the weight. I suggest that you “tour“ the selection before making your choice as it is easy to fill up your plate and then wish you would’ve added something else.
The Lady at the cash register was exceedingly nice and helpful even though her English was limited. She really went out of her way to make sure that my needs were met.
I had some sort of pea, celery, potato and perogy soup that was delicious! Additionally, I had some other items including a breast of chicken that was tender and flavorful. The desserts were also tasty. I chose 2 warm options that were local specialties.
It was a great lunch at a very modest price and would be suitable for those who don’t speak the language and would be unsure what to order from a menu. Also perfect for families with kids who could just point to what they like.
It is close to the Parliament buildings so would be a great place to go to lunch before or after seeing the site. In the evenings it is a bar that looks like it caters to young people as the tables are either high or stand up “cruiser and “tables. However, for lunch it works well. I am not sure if they’re open at dinner time but if they are it would also be suitable for an evening meal followed by walk in the neighborhood.

I've had lunch today in this self service. It is quite near the Parliament, so it can be useful after or before visiting it. The food is varied: you can choose among many types of salads, main courses (meat or fish), side dishes and cakes. Mainly traditional cuisine, but also international food. I chose fried fish with vagetables. The fried fish was soft, light and not oiled. The location is spacious, with air conditioned and clean. Not expensive. Absolutely suggested while visiting this part of the town.

I visited this self-service place after couple of years; it still offers a great variety of tasty international food for a reasonable price. The only change is interior: since the restaurant serves as a drinking bar in the evening, the chairs and tables are higher than usual, this not add to the comfortability of eating, otherwise is OK.

This is a self-service restaurant where you get a huge selection of various delicious Hungarian specialties and other foods. I have been here several times and enjoy it every time. I have not enjoyed their desserts as much so I would focus on the soups, entrees, sides and salads.
The place caters to many locals for lunch so it can get very crowded at noon. If you go a bit earlier, you'll have a good chance of having your pick of seats.
You go to the back, take a tray in the back right, and then proceed to the various sections to get food. Food is priced by weight although on occasion (especially with meats) there may be an add-on charge. It may be worth going around first to see what's available before you start adding things to your plate. There are so many good options that you may fill up your plate quicker than you had hoped.
Drinks are separate, you can pick up a bottle near the cash register.
Note that sadly they do charge 300Ft for use of the restroom. If I didn't like their food so much, I'd take off a point for it, but the food is so good that I'm willing to forgive them.

Went here to have lunch and the food was so awesome and tasty! We did not speak a lick of hungarian but the staff went out of their way to help us with questions about the food and while checkin out. We rate there a second time and the experience was once again very enjoyable.

very tasty food by weight, a buffet style. love to hang out with friends there in lunch time, central to many places if you are a tourist.

This is a buffet style place near the Chain Bridge and the Gresham Palace. Food is sold by weight. My wife and I visit once every few weeks. For the two of us, it runs about 4500 - 5000 forint including drinks and dessert. FozelakFalu is cheaper, but the food quality here is better.
If we have a complaint, it would be that the menu doesn't seem to change much and they have the same things. Usually the food is good. We had one time where it wasn't so great. It's close to where we live which is why we go.
In the 5th district, there are many Etkezde's that serve a "lunch menu" or fixed price lunch. Even some of the nicer restaurants in the area will offer this.
This place mostly attracts workers from the area and the occasional tourist.

Two of us visited, cost only £30 between us, which included bottles of water and 2 course meals.
Buffet style, and every thing costs by weight which enables you to try a bit of everything!
Situated at the top of vaci st and by the chain bridge, so fairly central.
Worth visiting as you're walking through.

You can choose food and take as much as you want. The food is homelike tasty and various. The price is 295 HUF 100 gr. very unexpensive. Lunch for two with soup costs about 10-12€ together it is centrally located and easy to find

Great place for a cheap buffet style lunch. Good choice of Hungarian style dishes, both hot and cold. Brilliant views of the chain bridge.

The place is called Roosevelt, since it is located at the square which used to be called Roosevelt square, but was renamed recently to Szechenyi square. This is pretty good budget place for lunch, they offer a good variety of pretty decent dishes. What is worth to stress, and not typical for restaurants in Budapest: there is a nice choice of fresh vegetables and salads. You can have a full lunch for less than 10 euro, that’s a good price in this touristic area. I go there quite often for a quick lunch when I am in Budapest and I was never disappointed. Some useful info: it is a self-service place, the bill depends on the weight, but you have to pay extra for meat or fish.

"discovered" this buffet-restaurant when returning from the Chain-bridge. Interiour looked brandnew and very "hotel-style" . Food , can be taken on a plate , self-service, and you pay per weight. Nice variety of cold , warm & dessert buffet , all looking very fresh and tasty . This restaurant made me think of CountryLife in prague , although not so bio and back to earth. I paid about 1000 F for a very good meal . Will sure go back whenever i'm in Budapest again ! Excellent choice for vegetarians/ vegans !
