We hardly found the place so arrived there like 20 minutes before closing time (and I just won't comment the 08:00-16:00 opening hours). It was very hot so we asked for iced coffee. The lady claimed that they only make coffee from freshly roasted coffee beans. I am just a silly person, I didn't see the connection. Next, we asked for a latte macchiato with cold milk. The lady replied: "If you are willing to drink it with cold milk..." like this would have been a horroristic request she had never heard before. After we emphasized that we indeed drink cold milk, this is why we asked for it, she became very kind and attentive. Real mystery. They accept bank cards. No toilet was detected. Seating only in the street. Alig találtuk meg a helyet, ezért kb. 20 perccel zárás előtt estünk be. Mivel kánikula volt, ezért jegeskávét szerettünk volna inni. A hölgy azt válaszolta, hogy ők csak frissen pörkölt kávéval dolgoznak. Én csak egy csacska személy vagyok, nem jöttem rá, mi az összefüggés. Ezek után tejeskávét kértünk hideg tejjel. A hölgy reakciója: "Hát ha Ön megissza hideg tejjel...", mintha egy sosem hallott, horrorisztikus kívánságot mondtam volna. Miután kihangsúlyoztuk, hogy mi valóban simán megisszuk a hideg tejet, ezért is így adtuk le a rendelést, a hölgy modora átment nagyon kedvesbe és előzékenybe. Igazi rejtély. Kártyát elfogadnak, mosdót nem láttunk, leülni csak az utcai teraszocskán lehet.

There was only a coffee machine at the Klastrom Hotel so I followed up the recommendation to visit Kapucziner in a very atmospheric back alley nearby. I bought some Papuan coffee to take home to London - so tasty - and tried an Indonesian roasting for a double machiatto while there. The woman in the shop had no English and I had only the basic formalities in Hungarian but she made me feel so welcome and had such a lovely smile. A really heart warming experience. Many thanks!

Never ever leave out this place, just if you dare only. Most perfect coffee mixes, rare teas and drinks.

Even if Győr can offer much more, i highly recommend visiting this fantastic place, I first came to Győr to visit them uniquely :) looking back now it was very awkward. The staff is super friendly, they can help you with all your questions, they are very polite and talkative. There is an extremely huge amount of prime quality coffee, chocolate and tea in the shop. Should you want to taste any, feel free to ask for it. You can even name how you want your coffee e.g. Turkish, Aeropress, V60., everyone will be super helpful. I got drawn into their quality products ever since my first visit there. I am a frequent buyer ever since and looking forward to a nice weather to visit them again. Try to catch the owner who is mainly responsible for the roasting, he can tell you tons of stories about coffee, each of their own roasts are imported from various small farms from around the globe, most of the products are single origin. This place is truly unique and if you are at least a bit into coffee or tea and into super nice people do visit them. The place is a bit hidden but it is a gem.

A huge coffee selection and a very friendly owner with excellent knowledge about coffee. The best is the roast machine at the entrance. They explain every step, how to make good coffee. If you're interested in the topic, it's a must see in Győr.

Many type of fresh roasted coffee, you can buy it and taste it as well. Janos -the owner- is a several times winner of the "Best Roaster Of The Year" award. If you love espresso you can't miss this place!!!
