The address is understand to be Muzeum Korut 12, not as given above and I don't recognise the thumbnail picture. Other than that, this is a taste of old Budapest, I first went 13 years ago and it's still as good today. White linen tablecloths, well set tables, attentive staff and great food/wines all set in splendid wood panelled surroundings with piano softly in the background. Great for any occasion and really great value at GBP30/head including wine. I hope its not so long til next time.

I went to this restaurant with a group of about 30 people. It was a set menu, but nonetheless, it presented a valid experience of the restaurant.
The table was beautifully set with sparkling wine and water glasses. The starter was a local fowl which was mild and tasty. The entree was perfectly cooked eye round beef with excellent seasoning. The dessert was light and fluffy, not at all heavy, with a cake/whipped cream type of confection.
The service was attentive and friendly; many Budapest citizens were arriving well dressed for a night out. The decor was well maintained, but was consistent with its history going back to 1885.
If I return to Budapest, I would be sure to visit the museum first, and them dine at The Muzeum restaurant.

New to Budapest I wasn't sure what to get but i did try a local dish. It was tasty and the local wine was equally good. Price for 2 was about $60 which in a big city was great. Service was a liitle slow but i can overlook that.

I think of all the places I have stayed in places I've been to, this restaurant is one of the nicest, in terms of the decor/setting as well as the food- quality and taste!
I really enjoyed my breakfasts here and we also chose to eat here at dinnertime during our stay. Very well prepared meals and a real pleasure to eat, as well. I highly recommend it to guests and others. The place is a museum even. Wonderful. A famous Hungarian singer presents his life with elegant splendour.

I had a glass of red wine with a friend on one of the last evenings suitable for outdoor seating. The service was kind and efficient.
