I love Karolina for their coffee offers, but sure it is a bucket list place for sweet tooths! It is though mostly quiet busy and takes some time to place your order. Prepare with cash!

Karolina is open all year round, selling mouth-watering homemade cakes, so no chance of finding dry cupcakes or boring cheesecakes here. Their sandwiches, wines and pálinkas are also great.

Finom és szépen tálalt ételeket adnak itt. A haltál finom, de nem balatoni halakból áll, ami meglepő a Balaton partján. A kenyerük kimondottan finom és különleges. Az árak magasak és adagok sem nagyok, viszont szezon után is nyitva vannak és késő este zárnak csak be.

Karolina's is an excellent place to taste unique cakes, coffee or tea specialties and ice cream. Recipes are orginating mainly from grandmother of the owners and represent high quality classic types of cakes and special creations, too. The atmosphere with old photos recalls the beginning of business.

A couple of days ago we visited Karolina. It has always looked good and is always busy (it is by far the most popular place in the area). We visited at 9 o'clock for some cocktails. The atmosphere was great, people were buzzing around, the place was lit up with candles and there was live music. The cocktails were delicious and arrived extremely quickly. We didn't eat anything however, some of the starters looked very good. This is the perfect place to sit and relax right next to the lake. Be sure to visit at night for the best experience.

Maybe it was started only as a cafe and a highest quality patisserie. But now they offering hot and cold starters, fantastic house type confisserie, own cheese, pâtés, own wines and also own made Hungarian spirits (pálinka).

My favourite place in Balatonfured. Not only the cakes and the drinks are delicious, but the service is outstanding and the location is perfect.

Karolinas is a cafe/bar in the new shopping complex just next to the new Marina in Balatonfured. The cakes, ice-creams, cocktails, "Palinkas" (local liqueurs) ordinary or exotic coffees are not cheap by local standards but wow are they good. The clientele is mostly local with a strong flavour of the wealthy emerging middle class businessmen and extremely well groomed partners. There are sandwiches, panninis etc at lunch time but no food menu as such. Great for people watching, not to be missed if you are into Hungarian cafe culture.
